The studio

Building stories.For people who build.

Builder's Film Studio is in Idaho and Texas. We shoot the jobsite, the factory, and the product, then cut it like a film.

Peter Kappes

Founder & Director

Builder's Film Studio makes cinematic video, photography, websites, and CRM systems for the construction and building-products industry — and directed AI video for work that is still on the drawings.

Peter Kappes has filmed some of the most ambitious building projects of the last decade: the Ark Encounter, the world's largest free-standing timber frame; Autovol, a robotic modular home factory; and robotic lines for companies such as Builders FirstSource and House of Design.

How we work

One campaign. Film, stills, site, and follow-up.

On the ground

Licensed aerial, plant-floor cinema, and architectural stills. We show up with a crew that already understands construction.

In the cut

Color, sound, motion graphics, and now AI shots finished in the same grade so nothing feels bolted on.

After it ships

Websites built around the film, CRM that captures the lead, reporting that tells you if it worked.

Founder & Director

Designer, cinematographer, and marketer — the rare combination clients actually need when a factory, community, or product has to be explained to the world. The studio is small on purpose. The work is not.
